Roger (10 out of 10 ) This is the only film I watch over & over again. It always makes me feel good. The moment at the press conference when "Anna" smiles shows just why Julia Roberts is a *****STAR*****
Martin (10 out of 10 ) Julia is a rare type of woman - one minute she can look quite plain and the next be a dazzling beauty.
I agree about the press conference scene: she looks at Hugh , smiles and is transformed into a woman who looks both gorgeous and innocent. What a combination.
Limey (8 out of 10 ) As Roger says, this is a movie that is very good for repeated viewing. Julia Roberts is absolutely breathtaking and Hugh Grant is his usual bumbling English self.
But for me the stealer of the show is Rhys Ifans. "Don't you think now would be an opportune time to **beat** slip her one?" Priceless.
I also love the line when he is congratulating himself on "well chosen briefs," referring to the tightly wedged, grey nut-huggers he is strutting about it.
Nicole (10 out of 10 ) The part of the movie in the press conference gets to me every time. One of the greatest romantic movies of recent times. Could watch over and over again!
soph (8 out of 10 ) Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant are amazing in this movie. A true heart warmer that always makes me smile and shed a little tear. 8/10
hemad (10 out of 10 ) I can watch it any moment, any minute, any hour of the day. It fetches out every emotion from my body, a true love story of an underdog.
jam (10 out of 10 ) This movie is really fantastic! Julia's smiles really warm everybody's hearts. I like the part where Anna Scott said "just remember I'm just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her", I find her brave in that scene and the way she says it was really a WOW to me, totally speechless. In the press conference scene the way she stares and the way she answers questions is totally brilliant! This is definitely one of the best movie of Julia!
Vijay (5 out of 10 ) "You say it best when you say nothing at all". Sounds like a very polite way of asking her to "SHUT UP!", am surprised the feminists are not behind this yet.
megan (10 out of 10 ) I absolutely loved this movie!
Katerina S. (10 out of 10 ) She's the type of women I admire. She's like a "swan", so elegant, with so fine features on her face. I love her in roles like "Notting Hill", "Pretty Woman", "Runaway Bride". If someone could decide to make a sequel of "My best friend's wedding" with her ex divorcing Cameron Diaz (who's so tasteless in that movie), it'd be great!
Emily (10 out of 10 ) I've had this movie on VHS for ages, I watched it so many times, then I moved and it got packed away, then came DVD's and I just never got around to watching it. I just bought it on DVD, and I just can't stop watching it. This movie is classic, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, every time I watch it. Best romantic comedy EVER.
malanuj (10 out of 10 ) A movie where friendships are shown for what they, where people are who they are, being the number 1 is not everything and where love takes its own course- Notting Hill. Hugh Grant, Rhys, Julia are and the whole crew come together for a movie that'll never grow old. Sometimes we wonder how will we ever watch another movie by these actors. These roles are too real for us. Always were envious of the last scene with Julia are pregnant and spending a lazy, sunny noon with Hugh in the park. Well, now we have a kid and do the same sometimes. Superb Movie.
Michael (10 out of 10 ) I thought this would be just another chick flick—boy was I wrong. It's a real charmer and a movie that actually makes you feel good. I had never seen Julia Roberts in a movie before, but she just melted me. The "I'm just a girl" scene brought tears to my eyes. What an actress! She transits from worldly-wise to vulnerable with ease. And Hugh Grant was perfect for his role. Now that's entertainment!
Australis (8 out of 10 ) Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant are good, but they wouldn't have been half as good without the amazing cast behind them. Sterling work by all of them.
Like Michael, I thought it was a chick flick, but it is much more than that. Richard Curtis (Blackadder, Four Weddings, Bean, etc) is a really good writer.
taka (10 out of 10 ) I'm from Japan. I loved this movie very much and watching over and over again even now. Hugh Grant is teriffic! He acts very well. I like him in this role. His looks, behaviors and his ways of talking are very attractive. He actyally got Golden Glove Award for the movie 'Four Weddings and a Funeral'. But he missed one on 'Notting Hill' which he was nominated. Anyway, I love this Hugh Grant and his speaking British English.
Juliano (10 out of 10 ) This is one of the greatest movies for me, it's funny in a quite an original way with interesting characters. It's one of the very few movies I can and do watch over and over again,.
persi (8 out of 10 ) I really love Rhys Ifans and Julia Roberts, they're both amazing.
Michael A (10 out of 10 ) One of the best, if not the best, love movie ever. Hugh Grant, Julia Roberts and an incomparable cast create a mesmerizing love story which completely overwhelmed me. Not to mention Leo Costello's rendition of the song 'She'- a prefect match. The end of the movie showing both of them on the bench could not be a more appropriate ending- hoping they spend their whole lives together. Simply and completely enchanting.
jack (10 out of 10 ) A recent discovery for me. I was touched very deeply by this film. It has found a warm place in my soul and I have been in that place ever since. I will never tire of her smile and his performance was masterful. What a beautiful story. I would love to revisit Will and Anna to see how the story continues. The entire cast was marvelous. How genuine they were, each and every one of them. Well done. Please find us a way back to Notting Hill.
Mia (10 out of 10 ) I watched the movie probably 50 times, have every dialogue in my mind. My favorite movie with incredibly excellent casting. Julia and Hugh, Rhys, James, Dylan. All was fantastic. Unique.
